This limited production, vintage Brut is perfect for toasting the Winter Solstice on December 21 and ideal on frosty, cold nights when you feel like cozying up with some bubbles.
“Intricate earthy, nutty, smoky aromas lead to equally complex fruit, spice and mineral flavors in this elegant, nicely mature-tasting wine made from half Pinot Noir and half Chardonnay. A silky texture and full body carry the subtle and savory notes through a lingering finish. 93 points.” — Jim Gordon
“94 points.” – Tim Fish
TASTING NOTES
By nose: ripe and opulent with baking spices and brioche. A full, round mouth-feel is accented with notes of fresh roasted nuts, citrus curd, and warm apple pie with notes of honeysuckle. This beautifully structured wine ends with a long, lingering finish and a siren song calling for another glass! It’s made for hearty feasts, roasted s’mores and general revelry.
WINEMAKER NOTES
Our 2019 dosage is 8 ml Brut Turbinado lex and 8 ml Native Yeast Chardonnay.
One of the great all time pairings is popcorn and bubbly – especially stovetop popcorn made with extra virgin olive oil. A perfect treat for date night. Let’s get popping!!!! Our preferred olive oil is from our friends and neighbors at Olive Queen in Forestville, CA.
