2006 Estate ChardonnayOur concentration on Estate Chardonnay is bearing delicious fruit. We are successfully adding new layers and complexity to our Estate bottling without resorting to more oak and ML. For us, malo-lactic fermentation is simply an acid balancing tool – not a stylistic component, and we feel very strongly about keeping the oak beautifully integrated in the wine. Food PairingEnjoy with buttered sourdough croutons, Pomelo (in salads and vinaigrettes), green mango, spicy wood fired green chilis, pan-seared baby bok choy, crisp fennel salad, celery root remoulade, raw fish dishes (especially salmon and scallops), oven roasted prawns and young, soft-ripened cheeses.AccoladesThe current vintage was awarded 91 points each by Wine & Spirits and Wine Enthusiast. The 2005 vintage received 93 points from Wine and Spirits and 90 points from Wine Enthusiast. Total production: 7,200 cases. Discounts: Club Joy! 25% off retail; Corral Club 20%; 2-Bottle Club 15%.
