Russian River Cuvee 2018

2018 Russian River Cuvee

Russian River Cuvee has multiple layers of meaning. Originally named for the historic Reagan-Gorbachev Summit Meetings in 1985, it also refers to the vineyard’s unique location in the Russian River area, and it is a nod to the Russian taste for slightly richer bubbly. The Russian is the “sweetest” in the Iron Horse line up, though it is still technically brut-level dry.

Customer Reviews

“It’s wonderful that America has a signature sparkling that we can rely on.”

James G.

“Finesse, detail and elegance make this wine outstanding from the first whiff to the lingering finish. Subtle aromas of bread dough, toast, almond and ginger lead to a creamy palate of rich golden apple, cream and a touch of honey, all on a silky texture of fine-grained fizz. 95 Points.

Meyer Lemon Curd with Goat Cheese Pastry

We are extremely lucky in our region to have many micro climates that bring us Meyer lemons from January until June. This recipe makes about 8-10 individual pastry strips topped with the lemon curd. Pairs perfectly with Iron Horse Russian Cuvee.
