TASTING NOTES
By nose: Ripe blueberry and raspberry fruit accentuated by clean clay, red plum and pretty floral aromas. By mouth: Great complexity, fresh acidity, soft tannins, and a silky and smooth finish.
VINEYARD NOTES
The Corral Vineyard is located on the southernmost border of the Iron Horse estate. This is our first vintage from this site, replanted in 2012. Yields in 2017 were sadly on the low side. Total production shy of 17,000 cases, compared with an average of 24,000 cases. The vintage will also be remembered for the October wildfires.
WINEMAKER NOTES
One of the pleasures of this wine is that you can see right through it, which speaks to the wine’s elegance and bright character. It is amazingly complex and nuanced and yet so light and silky, it just glides across your palate.
