Dear Friends and Family, As always, my mother is setting the best example for how to celebrate Thanksgiving, putting all her heart into making it special, despite how diminished it may seem this year.
It starts with the table. Here we are, the Sunday prior, and she has already laid out the place-mats, napkins, and dozens of pumpkins scattered down the center of the table. Her colors this year are pumpkin orange, fall leaf red and pink camellia. There will be very few of us – one tiny social bubble, but the table will be no less sumptuous.
She would be furious if I showed you a photo because the table is only at the very beginning phases. Just the barest bones.
But, to give you some sense of how the table will evolve, above are some photos of Thanksgivings past. That’s our Director of Hospitality Dixie Bohlke on the left with my father, two years ago.
Naturally, for us, picking the wines is of the utmost importance. And while the menu may be pared down, we are going to make it more delicious than ever. Food is love and wine is community.
I want to make sure you know we are including two-day shipping on a magnum of Joy! and/or six plus bottles mix and match until Wednesday. Gratitude is flowing in the Tasting Room. And we are releasing Resilience on Tuesday December 1st, fittingly on Giving Tuesday, as this limited production rosé bubbly benefits the Sonoma County Resilience Fund.
Most importantly, please know we are thinking of you with all our most heartfelt thanks.
