Phase 2 Tastings - By Appointment
The Governor has announced that we can re-open for outdoor tastings, which, as you know, is our forte and makes social distancing very easy to achieve. We are already “by appointment”, so we are simply pairing down the number of guests we can welcome at a time to comply with the “new normal”. Our first day of "re-opening" is Friday May 29.
Tastings are available by reservation for a maximum of four people staggered at 10am, 12 noon, 2pm and 4pm. Tastings will include delicious food, per Sonoma County regulations. We will be offering one flight with three bubblies, a Single Vineyard Chardonnay and a Single Vineyard Pinot Noir. Our Tasting fee is $30/$15 for Wine Club members. We will be offering discounts on purchases.
We will be wearing masks … and guests will have to wear masks too when you arrive … until you get situated to taste ... and then as you walk back to your car, please.
For everyone’s sake … and your comfort … we will adhere to the protocols provided by the Wine Institute to a T. Having guests at the winery will be fun and exciting. It will be our greatest pleasure to get back to share our stunning view and our wines. Wine is for sharing! And, we have some very delicious new releases. We're just thrilled to be able to open them up for you to try. Even with social distancing it will be celebratory and fun - two of our specialties.
We keep saying it forever: Thank you all so much for your support, always, especially the last two months. It has been so encouraging to have you rally beside us as we weather this storm together. We are so grateful.
Here is our check list for re-opening:
- Reservations are mandatory. Please book online in advance. Or, call us at 707 887 1507.
- All staff will be wearing masks.
- Protocols require guests to don masks when you get out of your car in the parking area and keep them on until you are situated to taste.
- You will pick up your tasting glasses at check in, right out of the rack from the dishwasher.
- Hand sanitizer will be available at check in and all along the Tastings Bars.
- Social distancing is required. We ask that you please stay at least six feet apart from others and we will gently remind you, if need be.
- We will be disinfecting all surfaces after each tasting.
- Tasting menus will be printed individually and thrown away.
- Payment will be contact free, no cash please.
While we can’t say we will be welcoming you with open arms (still no hugging), but it is certainly with open hearts.
Please note that all other experiences are temporarily on hold.
For future planning ....

We are very excited to announce a new, by reservation experience at Iron Horse in our utterly charming, just re-built, redwood gazebo dropped down below the winery, home to four picnic tables where two to a maximum of six guests at each table can sit down with a lovely vineyard view to enjoy when you bring your own picnic or just a romantic, quiet setting to sip Iron Horse wine. The Gazebo is for bottle service only. We highly recommend you book one of our three signature tasting flights, before or after your picnic, as an additional experience to enjoy a sampling of our wines and hear all the great stories about the winery, the vineyards and the family.
Great News! Since many of our guests regularly ask about where to get great food for their picnic, we decided to partner with Big Bottom Market and can have your picnic lunch waiting when you arrive.
Visit WineCountryLunch.com to order your Wine Country Lunch today. Please note that all picnic lunch orders must be placed by 11am, 24 hours in advance of your visit. Purchases will be processed at the time of order and you will receive a full refund if cancelled 48 hours in advance via email.
