Each shipment comes with a letter from Joy
Here is the cover letter from the current shipment:
Dear Corral Club Members,
Spring came very early again this year. This picture was taken on February 9th
My father has been planting daffodils at Iron Horse for 42 years. He completely changed his design, from encircling each tree in the orchard, to lining both sides of a culvert that cuts across the orchard. As you can see, there is nary a drop of water.
And, then this is how we felt on February 20th

Fortunately, we don’t have bud break just yet and the reservoir is full for when we will need the water for frost protection.

I am very excited to send you the new vintage of Spring Rose. This is our second vintage of making this delicious bubbly. It is our toast to renewal and calls out for such luxuries as asparagus, fresh fava beans with pecorino, fried baby artichokes and morels. It is a gorgeous brunch wine to go with an omelet, bacon, toasted brioche and chocolate dipped strawberries. Pair it with Easter ham, Sonoma baby lamb and with party snacks at a backyard soiree. I also envision it with a pyramid of macaroons.
I am extremely proud of our anniversary release of 2014 Ocean Reserve, celebrating our 10th vintage of making this special Blanc de Blancs in partnership with National Geographic. Production is 1,000 cases with $4/bottle sold going to help protect the ocean.
This shipment also includes 2016 UnOaked Chardonnay, hands down my favorite wine with fresh crab, which will receive a 93-point rating in the April issue of Wine Enthusiast. The second white wine is our 2015 Heritage Clone Chardonnay, my personal favorite of our Single Vineyard Chardonnays, and 2015 Thomas Road, which just so happens to be my personal favorite of our Single Vineyard Pinots - whence the basic theme of this selection: Joy’s favorites. Though, sadly, the Thomas Road in this shipment is about all that exists as it was an extremely short crop that year.
I sincerely hope you are planning to visit. Here are some key dates to consider:
Friday March 9. Our first big event of 2018 is celebrating the spring return of Joy!
