2005 Rued Clone Chardonnay

This is a very special bottling from Iron Horse, representing a great vintage, one of the most prized single blocks of vineyard on the estate, and a single clone. it exemplifies the extraordinary balance of gorgeous fruit, weight, texture and depth of character, with clean, bright, zingy flavors that make Green Valley so special.

Soft shell crab and fruit salsa, monk fish with new potatoes, fava beans, spring peas, braised chicken, crispy fried rabbit, anything with garlic, butter or cream, smoked ham, steak tartar.

Wine Enthusiast honored this wine with 94 points. Wine & Spirits awarded it 92 points. Master Sommelier Ronn Weigand's Restaurant News gave this wine 4+ Stars (out of 5). Laurie Daniel, San Jose Mercury News, says this wine is "Worth the splurge..." and Dan Berger states that this is "simply one of the greatest examples of California Chardonnay I have ever tasted."
