2006 Tut CuvéeSan Francisco's de Young Museum commissioned Iron Horse Vineyards to produce a limited edition special cuvée to commemorate the King Tut exhibit, which runs through March. Iron Horse has pledged a dollar a bottle to go to the museum's "Get Kids to Tut" campaign. The full production, 500 cases, will underwrite the cost of admission for over 350 Bay Area school children. Food PairingEverything you would traditionally match with a Blanc de Noirs. Because the base wine is primarily Pinot Noir, it is beautiful alongside many of the pairings associated with the varietal, especially mushrooms (think mushroom risotto), slow-roasted salmon and bacon. It is also great with caviar and oysters with a sherry vinegar mignonette. Thematically, it goes with humus and baba ganoush with baked pita chips, Tilapia, roast duck, ancient grains, Medjool dates. Total Production: 500 cases
